Lancs Cricket Foundation Young Volunteers Camp - summer - 2026 - Whalley Range
Whalley Range Cricket & Lawn Tennis Club
This fun and engaging two-day camp is for young people aged 13–24 who are interested in getting involved in volunteering within cricket.
The camp is designed to help young people build confidence, develop new skills and gain real experience, while supporting local cricket clubs and community groups by growing their volunteer workforce.
Over the two days, participants will take part in a mix of interactive workshops and hands-on activities, covering the basics of coaching and officiating, including umpiring and scoring. They may also do other training including but not limited to social media and marketing. There will also be the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications, with participants able to complete the Activator and Young Officials awards. On day 2 participants will help deliver cricket activities and games with children aged 7–11 (years 3-6) in the afternoon.
This camp is ideal for anyone looking to get more involved in cricket, gain experience for the future, and make a positive difference in their local community.
We will provide some snacks and refreshments but participants will need to bring their own lunch.
