Get Into Cricket returns for a fourth year, supporting young people aged 14 to 18 to gain valuable training and volunteer opportunities in cricket.

‘Get into Cricket 4.0’ will provide Young Leaders the opportunity to build up a toolkit of qualifications, including these mandatory workshops

All Stars & Dynamos Cricket Activators Course (Coaching)

  1. Introduction to Umpiring - online ECB-certified course and practical training
  2. Introduction to Scoring - online ECB-certified course and practical training
  3. The Grounds Management Association Workshop
  4. Certificate in Emergency First Aid
  5. Nutrition and Health Workshop
  6. Safeguarding Level 2 - online ECB-certified course

The whole programme will only cost £50 per participant.

We aim to make the course accessible throughout Gloucestershire, where we will deliver strategically placed courses, one per district, and there will be 15 places available per course, 90 places in total.

Get into Cricket 4.0 encourages Young Leaders to use the qualifications they obtain on the course to complete voluntary hours at their cricket club.  On reaching 20 hours & 40 hours, signed off by a club official, young leaders will receive a reward from Foundation partners Gray Nicolls.  In addition, the course will dovetail nicely with Young Leaders completing voluntary hours as part of other award schemes such as, the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
